I'm Patrick Mawhood, a practicing Product Director who coaches a small number of product owners and managers as an independent interest. With 20 years’ experience across technology innovation, business change and turnaround; I have led more than 150 people in global organisations, start-ups and family-owned businesses. Currently spearheading a far-reaching transformation within a division of RELX Group, I previously led the Product Management function at Reuters News Agency, restructured the propositions of Sky’s data insights division and was the Managing Director of an enterprise software firm.

Coaching style

I'm known for my creative and thorough approach that draws on a range of tools to help my clients understand their situation, consider new options and plot a practical path forward. I coach via a mixture of face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations and video conferences. I usually provide one-to-one coaching but am open to team development sessions as well as helping leaders to develop their own coaching skills.

Special interests

I have coached my own teams throughout my career and have also mentored high-performing managers most recently as part of the RELX Women in Technology programme. In my spare time, I'm a keen endurance athlete.

Training & Qualifications

I hold a degree in International Business from the ESSEC Business School and am a fluent speaker of both French and Swedish. I'm a member of the International Society of Qualified Coaches (Membership number C03A18501) and hold the Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching & Mentoring from the Institute of Leadership and Management (i-l-m.com). I'm also a Chartered Manager with the CMI (managers.org.uk).
